The ADP Small Business Grant Contest is open for entries as of October 1st, 2015. Voting starts on November 1st, 2015 and a winner will be selected every month for a period of six months. Who can enter the Grant Contest?
The contest is open to all businesses registered in Canada, which employ 1-99 regularly paid employees. For more information about eligibility, please read the rules. Click here
How do people vote for my story submission?
Use the social sharing buttons (below your voting tally) to share your entry with your followers on Facebook and Twitter. Voters simply visit the site, create a voting account, select your entry and click “Vote”. Get your friends, family and employees to show their support by spreading the word and voting once per day! Do I have to be a business owner to enter the Contest?
You can enter on behalf of your business, as long as you have authorization to do so. Remember, only businesses can win the contest, not individuals. For more information about who can enter, please read the Rules. Click here
Do I have to be a customer of ADP Canada to enter the Contest?
You do not have to be a customer of ADP Canada to participate in the ADP Small Business Grant Contest. You do, however, have to be a registered business in Canada with 1-99 regularly paid employees to be eligible to win.
If I wasn’t able to submit my story for the first voting period, can I still enter the Contest for the next voting period?
Yes! You can enter the Contest at any time. Votes are cleared at the end of each voting period, but entries remain active until the Contest ends on April 30th, 2016. However, you can only win once. For more information about voting periods, please read the Rules. Click here
How do I edit or change my submission once I have successfully uploaded my content?
You cannot edit or change your entry after submission. To make changes, simply ask us to delete your page and compose a new submission. Click here to submit a request to have your page deleted. *Remember to proofread your entry carefully before clicking “Submit”.
If I have my page deleted will I lose my votes?
Yes, when your page is deleted you lose all of your votes for that voting period. When you create a new page you will start to accumulate new votes.
If I don’t win after a voting period has ended, can I still win in the next voting period?
Yes! The vote count for all entrants resets to zero at the end of each voting period. Keep trying to get as many votes as possible for all remaining voting periods to increase your chances of winning. You are eligible to win until the sixth voting period ends.
How many times can a person vote for my submission?

How can I get the most votes possible?
In order to gain as many votes as possible be sure to share your story through social media. Twitter and Facebook are great platforms to direct people to your ADP Grant Contest profile page. Be sure to encourage your friends, family, employees, and customers to visit your submission online, vote on a daily basis, and share with their networks.
Why do my votes disappear each month?
To keep things fair for all entrants, every month the vote count resets to zero for every submission. Be sure you contact your network each month to get them voting in the new voting period.
Can I use paid voting services or post my entry in online voting exchanges?
No. Paying for votes or offering to vote for other contests in exchange for a vote for your entry is against contest rules. This includes posting to free vote exchange groups on Facebook and other websites. For more information on voting policies, please read the Rules. Click here
Can I offer my followers discounts, coupons, giveaways or other incentives to get them to vote for my submission?

I think one of the entrants isn’t playing by the rules, what do I do?
If you suspect that another entrant is using a forbidden means to get votes, let us know through our online Contact Form . We routinely screen for irregularities in votes, and, if we suspect the rules are being violated, we will warn or disqualify the entrant. Are there restrictions on how I can use the grant if I win?

How will I know if I’ve won?
We will contact you directly if you have won the Contest. Please be sure you include an email and a phone number that you check regularly. If we are unable to reach you, we may select a different winner. For more information about winning a grant, please read the Rules. Click here
How do you determine which small business wins each month?
Each month we will select five finalists, based on the number of votes they receive. If you are a finalist, we will contact you to verify your eligibility. Due to timing restrictions, we will make only three attempts to reach you. If we can’t reach you, we will select another finalist to take your place. Be sure you provide us with a phone number and email address that you check regularly. Once our five finalists have been confirmed, our panel of judges will evaluate and score the entries to choose the winner. What happens to my story after the Contest is over?
